new to mapping

ok, i downloaded the BF2 Editor and followed the first two tutorials exactly, now when i go to load my map it get's to the Join Game button, i click it and my game crashes to desktop. no error messages or anything. can anyone tell me how to fix this? i've heard to try it in window mode and see what errors i get but i don't know how to turn on window mode.

also, any tips for a beginner?

You cannot play in single player - you must start multiplayer game and create local server

SIR JAKE - tht link ELI gave ya is gold buddy - best sight for any1 learning the ropes...
i know i can certainly bouch for tht!!!! thnkyou gotfrag!!! wish i knew more on mapping - but i know alot of people are having your issue (i believe there are even some threads here on it somewhere) but tht website will definitley have all the Q and A you need :)

why wouldnt i get involved - SIR JAKE IS GENUINELY INTERESTED IN LEARNING - not telling people off who give him help and not asking people to make stuff for him for nothing in particular like somone i know

like i said before - instead of posting this frivalous information, you could have gone to the link shown and started doing a tutorial...
