Bored out of my MIND

Hey guys-

Here's my problem: Battlefield 2 is the most BORING game I have ever played in my LIFE! I've played it a bit more than most people (about 170 hours total now) but I mean, it's just the same old same old the entire time!!

First, I went after the badges. Knives, pisolts, different kits, yay. Got most of the basic within the first 2 weeks of having the game. Whoo. Not even bothering with the vets really.

Then I tried out commander after I got to a high up rank. Got bored with that REALLY fast. Got tired of the noobs running into artillery thinking it's a kool-aid stand and everything.

THEN I tried jihading. Actually had quite a bit of fun with that and it amused me for quite a while. Got some wicked kills and discouraged some noobs. Then I got TOO good at sneaking up on tanks and APCs in Karkand and Sharqi in my Stealth Vodnik (lol w0rd) and the result of that was getting kicked/banned from multiple servers for "Killing Admins while they use Armor" (lol laughed hard at that one when I saw it).

After THAT I started to try the whole Spec Ops side of things and jumped into a Humvee/Vodnik and went back to destroy the artillery and radar. That was really fun until I started to get kicked/banned again for "Destroying Commander's Assets" (I stared blankly at the screen for 10 minutes when I saw that... Why not kick someone for pulling the trigger?)

But my point is that now I have no idea WTF to do! We have a very limited selection of maps for the official servers and I require play on Ranked servers. And we only have ONE gametype: Conquest.

Here's my suggestion EA: Yeah, bugs need to be worked out, but how about dishing out some more maps and gametypes?? I'm boycotting BF2:SF, so don't suggest that.

There, that's my rant. If you think it's stupid for whatever reason, then go **** yourselves, because I'm inclined to my opinion and I merely want to share ideas. I'm also getting sick of people coming in and saying "Shut up noob", so take it somewhere else please.

BF2:SF why would you boycott puzsy? it's like that you get some but girls could make you do some crazy sh|t for it just like EA is making you pay for SF.

I would suggest that you put BF2 down for a while, possibly buy your self a new game, play that game until boredom, and come back to BF2. Rinse and repeat until a mod is released.

Most people quit playing after a couple hours if a game is boring. After 170 hours, if it's boring, maybe you've played too much in a small amount of time. Burnout isn't surprising, especially if you're gunning for points and not really having fun.

Ah well, one in more than a million players ain't bad I guess. Can't please everyone.

Since you've gotten 170 hours of entertainment for about 30 cents and hour, I'd call that damned good value.

We don't care. Play another game. Don't waste the time people have for recreation whining about your lack of interest in the game we're interested in. It's common courtesy, really! If you don't like it, just shut up and fade, already.

I felt like this for a while, I go so fed up with the loading time and ******** in the server i Just didn't play it. Went back it though. Medicine = pr0n.

You say BF2 is one of the most boring game in your life, but you logged in 170 hours on it, is there something missing that brings light to the conflict of boredom vs. playtime?

Like Echo said, burnout is most likely the reason why you feel bored of playing BF2, just either take a break or reduce your time of playing BF2, and soon your interest of the game will rejuvinate (I hate the spelling of this word). Furthermore, reading by your experience of BF2, it seems you only care about stats and awards, if you want to have fun and have blast in this game, you have to forget about all this. Caring for such useless achievements will only make look foward to when the round will end and naturally forces you to evaluate yourself through the entire round, not a good experience or feeling.
