Re: Can someone tell me what the assault rifles are and what the carbines are?
Carbines are generally lighter weapons and have shorter barrel lengths. As a result, they are more inaccuate over longer distance distances than the heavy, longer barrelled rifles.
Re: Can someone tell me what the assault rifles are and what the carbines are?
Carbines are smaller, lighter, and often have folding weapon butt. They fire more accurate single shots and are fairly accurate for full auto. Recoil is minimal. They take a shorter time to reload, and have a high rate of fire. Carbines are very weak per bullet, but a few well placed singles will take out an enemy in no time.
AR's are heavier and larger, with no folding butt. They are much less accurate in single mode, burst and full auto. They have more deviation and recoil. The M16 is similar to a carbine but it is an AR. AR's are very powerful and take only a few close range shots to kill. They take longer to reload. Techincally, i don't know the differences though...
