Hopefully by than I'll be able to find a German to English fix.

I'm sure you will be able to do that with ease. A Czech to English fix is already almost completed, and doing the same to the German version is not only planned, but will be just as simple.

Also, an English version being distributed online may infringe on an agreement with 505 Games, as they are currently the only publisher releasing the game completely in English.

Well I don't care if its released this month in English or if I have to wait until January to get a real English copy, I'll still be picking up one in Germany and get that fix, and if I buy another later, it just means I can host a dedicated server :)

BIS are working with another comapny to enable people to download it online, but, it probably wont be avalaible until after the UK (505 games) release. And thats a long time to wait.

What a shame, it must be difficult to hype a game, when release dates are all over the place for different regions.

it does suck, but its what happens when they loose support from a major publisher (wish they still had Codemasters, but I know that Codemasters was trying to screw them over with something, or at least that's what I've heard).

Yup, when OFP first came out, Codemasters rushed BIS to get it made as soon as possible.

it will. remember most peopele dont have the game yet and the site is still under construction. But i reckon ArmA will be bigger than OFP once 505 games gets it published.
