hehehe - not available to the public i saw another programme like it for tank training and it was 2300 bucks... still... it had the ability to programme any vehicle into it and for 2300 bucks - not a bad investment for a government. i would suspect this would cost alot more though

yes well when you are playin on an 80 square kilometre battlefield you want to have a good view distance - thts the only reason the game is such low poly... on thing is for sure - no bunnies or dolphins in this game :)

and i am definitely starting a ww2 mod for this game :)

sigh, that is operation flashpoint 2 not ARMED ASSAULT... armed assault is being soley done by bohemia, OFP2 is being published by codemasters... different games.... for the love of god if i hear one more person call armed assault ofp or anything ofp related i am going to cut sick...

ARMED ASSAULT IS NOT OFP2 period.

ofp2 is basically a high poly version of the armed assault engine which bohemia has been working on since the release of ofp1.

before you start cutting me do your research pls

and yes solodude - the armed assault engine is a LOW POLY engine - quote unquote
and yes i do alot of modelling and can see the composition of the models with my own eyes - LOW POLY - but in relation to what you were saying - it has everything to do with the view distance - with that low poly the draw distance on objects is greatly increased - but even then it comes down to what LOD system they are using - have to wait and see

I am fully aware of the situation regarding OFP2 and "OFP2"... Codemasters own the title Operation Flashpoint and thereby any successors to it, so BIS aren't going to use the name and currently use the project name Next Generation PC game.

Armed Assault is essentially OFP 1.5, it spawned off OFP:E, which came from the original OFP, thus the connection.

Sorry to have made you write up a storm, but I fail to see how it applies to me.

exactly - what does images of ofp1 and vsb1 have to do with armed assualt? tht is why i went off - in your post you are acting as if they are "eye candy" from armed assualt - read it back and you will see where i am coming from where it looks like you are wrong...

edit: tht and i have been hearing people (not necessarily in this thread) reffering to ArmA as an ofp expansion or sequel for too long now lol
