I would like to upgrade my box from 1GB to 2GB. I have 4 slots on my ASUS P4C800 Deluxe, two of witch are filled with a matched pair of Kingston HyperX 512KB sticks.
I dont really want to spend the money for another matched pair of HyperX sticks. I have read in my manual that it is ok for your second matched pair of memory to be different from your first matched pair. My question is that if I buy cheaper ValueRam (higher CAS Latency) for my second matched pair will it effect my first matched pair?
The BIOS only has one setting for latency so I am wondering if my computer would automatically clock my HyperX memory at the slower speed of the value ram. I am just worried that adding a gig of value ram would effectually turn my other gig of HyperX into value ram.

OH, on a completely unrelated note, how the hell do you disable Norton Antivirus before starting up BF2? I use System Works 2005 with AV and I get "access denied" every time I try to end any of its processes.
