sniper scope

Hi there,
my preferred weapon is the sniper rifle.
I have the unlocked gun - and was just wondering if there is a way to keep the scope up after a shot is first?
its quite annoying to have to locate my prey every time I fire...

also, I noticed a scale on the scope. At long range does the crosshair need aiming above the target?
just wondered what the scale on the crosshairs was for...

keep your mouse button held down, however the rifle will not load a second bullet, mostly to see wether you hit or not.

The scale on the crosshair has no practical purpose. People will undoubtably try to flame me on this issue, but 'bullet drop' in this game is so small that it doesn't matter. I have killed using the SVD on the limit of view distance in Mashtuur City by aiming exactly at their head. :)
