    XBOX 360 or PC hardware 4 BF2?

For me it's hardware for BF2, the Xbox is tempting but lets be honest BF2 makes counterstrike look unaddictive.

So anyone buying an Xbox today?

I might get a PS3 since it allows for keyboard and mouse hookup but Xbox360 is just another console easily pwned by half decent computer.

If an XBOX 360 ever gives me what XBMC does on my XBOX...I'd think about it. I use my XBOX only to watch movies, view pictures, and play music in my living room. Certainly not for games. That's what my PC is for.

Plus it would have to drop to about $150 used

I'll prob never buy a console. Pathetic when I can afford a good computer.

I think I will buy the console at some point... PC stucks for driving and sports games and the concept of linking it to my HD TV is sweet... And at $500-$600 for a fat bundle it is still cheaper than my last Gfx card update...

consols for me just dont work, the pads are awfull to play anygame, keyboard forever!!! (and mouse of course :p ) and even not having a great computer, i still like the fact that if a game is to heavy for me i cqan allways decrease some setting to make it run better, and the consoles are on the way to their destruction, they are becoming more and more like pc's, the only real consoles out there for me now are the cell phones

i've always been a PC gamer myself, especially for FPS games. FPS on any console sucks, period. There are some out there that are fun yes, but sorry, I like having a mouse to shoot with, not a small little joystick lol. Though the one good thing about consoles is that they are great for if you have a bunch of friends over and just want to have fun.

Wrong, baseless remark regarding the xbox...many of the games that have come out at launch i'll admit were definitely rushed, but how can you say that games like PGR3 or Call of Duty 2 (which runs without any lag whatsoever whereas on high-end computers it lags) can't as easily be done by high-end computers?!?!

I have CoD2 on the PC and as long as you are not nuts with your settings it does not lag at all...

Mind you CoD2 was one of the things that really impressed me on the 360. I tried in in the local Walmart where they had it hooked up to a HD TV. It looked pretty much the same as it did on my PC. Of course the control pad sucks next to the keyboard and mouse but it did show what the XBOX could do...

As I said above for sports and driving games you really need an analog controller and there are simply better on a nice big screen. Sure I could put together a powerful PC in a sexy little boc with all radio perpherials that I could hook up to my HD TV and play games just like a console, but it would sure cost a bit more than $500...

Screw the Xbox360, I just want that Xenon GPU!. I mean, 48 dynamically assigned pipes? 10mb of onboard ram dedicated to A.A.? I don't care who you are, that's tempting.

Especially if ATI would be willing to sell it at a price comparable to the cost of putting it in the 360, which comes out to about 150$ I suppose?

I have a 360 (and a pc with x800pro generation gear). It pwns totally - and thats just on a regular 28" TV. I didn't buy an xbox until early last year, so I'm not usually a first adopter type - but I have zero regrets about this one. Wireless controllers are worth their weight in gold believe me. And as for first-person shooters, I felt exactly the same as you raceacontari but tbh - I'm having a total blast with Quake 4 and PDZ and really don't miss the mouse at all.

I don't know about everyone else, but PCs kick all consoles rears. I personnaly can't aim worth squat with a console controller, I love mice (ive got a mx 518, it kicks butt). The fact that the top number of players on an online game on consoles is 24 is just sad, i love a good 64 player server, and i like having a key board. So for now, and probably forever, im sticking with PCs

my pc is two times better than the 360.
