Well for those of you wondering about my mental status in doing this little experiment...I did not have to sit there for the whole 2 hours. I was doing other things on my other computers, doing some work on a server, eating dinner, watching TV...at the same time.
I did start on the grapples already - I put in about 500 of those when I was taking the time off of the zips to let it update.
How do I know I did that many? Its called a stopwatch...and knowing how many per minute my guy was doing on average. Anytime I started getting shot, or had to help the team get a win, I stopped my stopwatch and played the game. First and foremost I made sure my team was winning before I stood off on the side getting my zips.
It was very easy to find rounds that were 30-40 minutes long each. Some I just had to play because the scores were so close - but I did not mind that.
Oh and for the earlier question, you do not need to actually zip down them - you just need to deploy it and pick it up...hence my being able to switch to the crossbow, fire it off, and then pick it up, rinse and repeat in about 2 seconds.
Now for the grappling hook, it takes a bit longer to switch to the hook and actually get the rope out before you can retract it. I have my speed down to 21 grapples per minute.
I might tackle that later this weekend when I catch up on all the saved shows on the tivo in my office.
where can you see the amount of ziplines or whatever tossed ??
That's just it - no where does it tell you. BF2S shows it is a stat that can be updated - but nothing shows up.
This is the main reason I decided to just put in the time and do the counts - to see what they really were. By just doing it every now and then, there is no way to see how far along I was - so I wanted to get the final counts - heh.
I have a better question for ya, how did you get EXPERT EXPLO BADGE ???!
A more than cooperative commander with his UAV, and a group of 6 or so US players that were not willing to give up the far west base (City Entrance? if I remember name correct) on Sharqi Penn. The same group of guys kept spawning back at the same flag trying to defend it. I loaded a vodnik up, drop up to the flag, or up the little hill to the wall, or even around the back side of the building - usually approached from the opposite direction they were expecting. I would drive up, jump out, and blow it (killing myself each time). I ended up with 55 kills that round - at least 47 or 48 of them came from c4. I have come within 1 or 2 pts of expert so many times I cannot even count - then I get a round like that where I just blew it out of the water - heh. Luck - all luck - and idiot enemies.
