more maps?

does anyone know if there will be any more maps on the official servers?

I love the mas at the moment....but some new ones would be good

I enjoy figuring new strategies for new maps as a squad leader

anyone agree or have news??

I suspect that eventually we will see a certified community map pack... but that will take some time adn the distribution might be a little problematic.

I expect that there will be more bonus content released as time goes on... but it won't be right away. They have to sell their expansion products first!

there is allready alot of custom maps but non of the servers host them and the ones that do are always empty.

but EA gave us Wake for free.....so perhaps if we are really good, we sit up straight and eat all our veges and promise not to bunny-hop noob toob, then EA will give us more freebies?

Ranked servers can't host custom maps.
There's a damned good reason for this. If they could host 'em, it wouldn't take long for unbalanced "point farming" maps to show up all over the place.

HOWEVER, there's been talk of releasing a non-offical ranked dedicated server app. This would allow you to gain points, awards, and ranks on that particular server without getting them sent up to the EA master server. This would also alow not only locally ranked maps, but also full-on mods.

I think he is talking about official maps from EA-Dice, like they did with BF42 and BFV. I already feel cheesed out by the lack of content (maps and vehicles), especially when BF42 shipped with 16 maps and typically two different kinds of some vehicles (tanks, planes, boats)

when BF2 shipped, there was one less Chinese map than MEC map, so i was expecting more Chinese maps.

What we need is a hardcore Chinese city map in Shanghai or Bejing.

Me too,I've always enjoyed playing people's custom made maps on CS Source.
