I tried steps 2,5,6, and 7 of tweaks to reduce lag but when I launch the game I get this black screen with a whole bunch of writing about map, server, and on the left side it says:
Loaded15%
Loaded16%
Loaded17%
Loaded25%
Loaded76%
Loaded100%

what the hell is going on?

I had this problem. After trying a wide variety of drivers with not improvment, I figured it was a heat issue. My GPU was 55C, which isnt THAT bad. So if its not my GPU thats over heating, what is it? Oh yea, the CPU! Turns out the dust on the heat sink was blocking the air from my cpu. On most newer computers once the CPU hits a certain temp (75C default) it will throttle down to 50% power. So if you are throttling down, that is like running 2 instances of BF2.

I can't say for sure if this is your problem but be sure to check it out!

I don't think it is a heat issue caus I play F.E.A.R and half life 2 on the highest possible settings u can imagine and they ran dandy. If it were the heat or dust issue, then why r my other games running well?
