Patching problems

Hello.
I have just bought Special Forces but I can't install it because I haven't patched bf2. When I try to patch it I just gets the message: "Patch failed", the same report comes when I try to install SP.
Does anyone now what the problem is? I am just running the installation file after downloading a patch.
I hope you can help me, pretty frustrated at the moment!

You may have a corrupt patch, try downloading from another source.....if all else fails your best course of action is to uninstall/reinstall (Yes I know that sux).

-other helpful hints:
turn off everything running in the background when installing. Update everything (if you don't do it regularly), like OS, video, audio....it's amazing what can create problems on an install.

Non of the downloads works. Special Forces tryes to patch bf2 when I am installing it, but I get the same error message, even though I have turned off all other programs running.
Everytime I try to patch bf2 I have to uninstall/reinstall bf2 to get it going again...
