Special Forces Problem

Just got Special Forces today and trying to load a game it says it is optimising video setting and it gets to 62% and freezes and the game crashes to the desktop.

Any ideas what wrong with it??

when I first installed the game and had to load a map it also got stuck at 62% , but I didn't do anything and just let the pc alone, I think it took about 5-10 minits or something to finaly load the map.

Specs

AMD Athlon 3200+
Radeon 9800 Pro
1 gig RAM


I have left it to load mate, thats the thing, it loads up to 62% fine and it stays on that for about 1 minute - 1 min 30 and then it crashes to desktop with no error message or explanation.
Just got the new catalyst drivers for my graphics card and its still doing the same thing ?
I wanna play!!

OMG Ea are officially Bullsh**

Did what he suggests unistall and reinstall etc

Tried to install Special Forces after the normal BF2 and it says patching failed !


Is this game worth the hassle ??

Ok might be getting some progress,

I tried to install it but it wouldnt patch so I check the patch log and it said a newer file was already there but the game wasnt installed

So uninstalled BF2 and reinstalled to get basic old files.

Put on SF and its now working, however it is still freezing at 62% but it isnt crashing now!!

But the games still wont load and I am only finding 2 servers on the list :hmm:

Still have major problems

dont bout anyone else but special forces it takes for ever to join a server and alot of times loads of lag never had problem B4
