How do I get my bf2 to optimize shaders again?

Ok, Ive been having so many problems with bf2 and bf2|sf, and I think I may have nailed it on the head.

Basically, it was optimizing shaders before i sorted the crash, and it crashed on load, now, even when I change my gfx settings, it doesnt optimize the shaders, and I believe if I can get it to, I should have my game sorted.

So yeah, Ive tried changing my gfx settings, and although I get the message that it will optimize next load, it doesnt. Ive tried deleting and re-retrieving my profile, and still nothing.

So, does anyone know what I should do?

Ahyeah, I think thats it.

Do I just need to delete all the files, or the folder or what?

Delete whats in the cache folder
