5950 Please advise

Hi all, i have a 5950 ultra and i was wondering of peoples experiances with graphic settings!
How high are you running your graphics in this game?
Is it stable online with these settings?
This is a rundown of my system Please advise me on settings please!

Win XP Pro
Pentium 4 3.2Ghz & Running @ 3.2Ghz
Abit IC7-Max 3 Motherboard
1gig Kingston Hyper X Dual ram (3200)
MSI Nvidia 5950 Ultra
Audigy 2
200gig Maxtor Sata hdd

Well, I just upgraded. I had been running on:
AMDxp 3000
GF 5900 128mb
1gig 2800 ram.

And I had to run almost everything on low, to get smooth gameplay. The only thing I had maxed was View distance. <<<Very important.

Before I upgraded to this PC, I tried upgrading that old one once more, added a MSI 6600 GT. It made a little difference, but not much.

But, with other games, that 5900 was awsome. One of the best cards I've ever owned. And I've got friends who have had 5950's and they loved them.

My new PC of course tears Bf2 a new one :)

AMD 64 4000+ Dual core
4 gig Corsair XMS DDR SDRAM 3000
EVGA 7800 GT 256mb DDR3
550gig of storage.

One thing though, I think alot of it is just BF2. That old PC would run doom3 on high settings. And IL2 ( A system hog if there ever was one ) with everything maxed minus 1 or 2 things.

My only advice is to turn down all audio settings in the game, That Audgy 2 is a bastage. It will lagg you big time, uses alot of CPU. I had alot of trouble outa mine, so much that I left it in that old PC. And gave it to my brother.

I have an FX 5900 soft modded to a FX 5950 ultra @ 500/1000 and AMD 2700+ @ 2.3ghz 1.5 gig ddr400 My FX 5900 cost me $1000 Aus new so you can see why I'm trying to get my monies worth out of it. I run @ 1024x768 all medium no AA dynamic lighting and shadows turned off and get 40-50 fps on average although SF drops to a low of 35 fps. Upgrade wise a 6600GT won't make much difference, a 6800GT will and would be the minumum I would upgrade to.

Try getting more RAM 2gig is ideal while 1.5gig is enough.
