since the patch and release of the lame expansion i've realized that when applying for commander i keep getting the "a player with a higher rank than you has filled the position" crap, after checking the ranks i wayyyyyyy outrank the other guys, i've also checked to make sure that my rank is registering with the server too and its all fine. what i'm getting at is i SHOULD have gotten the position of commander by how the game chooses it.
the kicker though... every time i've lost it to someone with a lower rank than me i've checked and every time its been to a person using an expansion weapon... meaning they are using the expansion (to soon to really pick one up or tk for one so its not just the weapon thing) do people with the expansion automatically get selected first over regular bf players nomatter what their rank?
