What's your SF frame rate?

I'm getting an average of 25-30 FPS with everything on high, with AAx4.

You can see what yours is by typing Renderer.DrawFps 1 (I think - hit tab twice to make sure).

I'd expect better with a 7800 GTX 256MB, 3GB RAM and 3GHZ HT P4. :/

20-50fps with almost ll low and 1280x0124, no aa. i have an intel...

I'm getting 20fps steady with Geometry Medium, Effects medium, texture medium and the rest low(+ low global lighting) or off at 100% view distance. Oh, and I've got my res at 1024by768@75hz. I get 15 fps if on Iron Gator(at the ship) or in the palace on Warlord(even though it's one of my favs) my vanilla BF2 Fps is never below 30! ugh!

Do you know what I could do to improve my framerate? I think mine should be more like yours, considering we have similiar hardware.

25-80 fps

20s common in intense firefights
30s more common on the night maps while flying chopper

There was a day when I was averaging 40fps with everything on high 6xaa but then found out that I couldn't connect to my own LAN because of "modified content" (ended up finding traces in my registry but all had been deleted before the latest reinstall) but now I have to lower my resolution to 1280x1024 and my AA to 4X to get 20-40fps. Typically, both in BF2 and SF, I start out with 1 and shoot up to 30 in one to two seconds (creating a momentary lag) then steadily climb from there. Sometimes things get sluggish in the 20fps realm for a minute or so then goes back to normal. This happens in BF2 also but not as common. Now that I've lowered to that res and AA for Special Forces, and since they share a cache, BF2 runs at around 40-80fps and to tell the truth, it still looks great. But it still aggrivates me that my rig can't handle some games at all high.

turn AA to 2xQ, its almost exactly the same looking, and is a bit eaisier on the framrate. But man, the bf2 engine just freakin sucks. It takes a super computer to run this game well. your 25 fps is especially amazing considering your 3 GB of RAM... ACK! BF2 for most ineffecient game engine of all time!

I'm curious to see how you guys handle switching between BF2 and SF because of the fps difference. The one poster so far had a good idea but I haven't tried it yet. If it works I'll probably make a profile of a couple combinations so I can save myself from future optimizations. Anyone tried what he said yet?
