Multi Player Issue

Alright I am starting to get very ****ed off. I have been playing BF2 no issues and I decided to buy the expansion pack today. Before I bought the expansion pack I did install the new 1.12 Patch and it ran with no issues at all. I go and install the BF2 Special Forces expansion pak and have no installation issues. However I notice in single player mode 2 of the 8 new maps are missing. Leviathan and Iron Gator. I figure no big deal maybe they are special multiplayer maps only. When I log into my account and search for mulitplayer servers I see all of the new maps plus the old ones. Now when I try to play a new BF2 Special Forces map it loads up, verifies, and just as I press the "join game" it kicks me off with some kind of error message saying "this server only runs unmodified content, please revert back to the offical BF2 content" or some kind of nonesense like that. Basically it is saying my patch was not offical or something like that.I have never modified my software in any way, no cheats, nothing. Has any one else run into this and can someone help me?!?!?! Should I reinstall the 1.12 Patch, I mean it is offical I got it from fileshack.com which EA says is a good place. Please help!!! Thanks,

You have to install 1.12 on top of SF

yes, you have to repatch after installing SF, when you install SF it auto patches to 1.1, you need 1.12 to play with every one else.

I did the same thing. What an idiot? (I thought to myself) Have you had any other problems since? Such as game shutdown? Mine shutsdown during play 2 to 3 times a night.

I did kind of the opposite when I started the day it came out - bought SF - installed right away and thought it patched instead of me having to download.

Got a bit irate that I could not play - started to post up a flame on these boards about the suck that I just bought - and read another post.

These forums have been an awesome tool.
