How well does the 6600 or the 6800 run cod2?

Answers please I whant to get one of these cards for gaming. I'll be playing bf2, cod2, and F.e.a.r.

I have untill this weekend to make my choice.

lemme put it to you this way....COD2 is BRUTAL!!! my 7800GTX has a hard time running it on the highest settings (the only way to run it because it's such a d*** pretty game) but you can make it work. A 6800 will work GREAT for the other games mentioned.

well i have a 6600 in this pc, i have to crank the cod2 settings down, pu the dx level at 7, and it realy looks fine.

My 6800gt works pretty well with cod2.

get an ati x850 if you want the best vs the money. it will play anything you can throw it on full.

i have a question, will my FX 5200 run it at all? if not its okay im getting a 6600 for xmas =)

I'm running cod2 right now on the 5200.. dx7 (no shadows, or that cool shine affect) And reso at 800x600 with texture settings all the way up. It doesn't look that great, and it only runs at 30 fps (in the 40s max) and it goes under in the 20s and 10s when a bunch of things are happening.

I run the demo fine @ 1280x1024, trilliar filter, no AA though. But I need to get my hands on the full game...

i played demo wit all high, and i kept through smoke nades all over because i didnt know the weapons, and would run into the clouds of smoke and no studdering or lag

I have a 6600 256mb and it plays every top end game out, I play Doom 3 on high and everything on - bump maps, shadows etc, same for Quake 4. I play BF2 on the medium setting and it runs fine, but I haven't tried it on High yet, but yeah the 6600 is worth the money.

wtf? cod2 doesnt even have good graphics... I ran the game with my 6600gt fine with everything cranked up. So go for a 6600gt not a 6600

just noticed the date for when you will make your choice, seems like it past. What was your choice?
