sorry about the noob question but is the 7800 a good card for bf2sf. i really cant play bf2 sf because my lighting and ram and stuff suck and im getting a new computer with this card. is it worth it to get the gtx intead of the gt and should i just push for the 2 gig ram instead of 1 gig ram. if not just one of them ( or none ) should i get them both?
is this card expected to play bf2 sf well

7800 is a great card. You can't go wrint with either the GT or the GTX, both are great cards. IMO the GT is a better deal as far as price/performance goes. Definately go for 2 gig of ram, you won't be able to play on all high without it.
Darn you king, you beat me to it.

2 GIG of ram is about the best investment for BF2, 512 just sucks and you can not play more than 16 player games with 512.
1 gig is fine for 32 player games and medium settings. But if you want high setting s (ESPECIALLY shadows and dynamic lighting) i really think the min is an amd 4500 64 and 2 gig and at least a 6800 gt. I had to goto that to get it to work!
