Singleplayer Team selection mod

Anyone interested in a mod that allows the player to select which team they are and which team they want to fight against prior to map loadout, so as to have different force on force match ups for both BF2 and BF2: SF? With that said, does anyone now how to create such a mod? Or where in the code to look to attempt to create the mod? Unfortunately, I have only enough know how to change the weapon kits and weapon power, etc. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

just go to your levels folder in the xpack folder (which is located in the bf2 mods directory), open up the server.zip file and extract all of it's contents, locate the init.con file and open it up. scroll down a bit and you will see "level settings", which shows all the different units on the map. you can edit it the way you want (check my thread "mixing SF units" in the SF forum for an example), save and re-zip the file.

I didnt say mixing units from different stuff isnt possible. Of course thats possible but the first line of his post "Anyone interested in a mod that allows the player to select which team they are and which team they want to fight against prior to map loadout," suggests to me that he wants to create a mod which allows you to select your team prior to the map loading, now thats impossible :)

GrolscHe, A bit confusing I agree, but what I mean is basically what bugkill suggested; however, having the oppurtunity to select which forces to fight against (almost like a drop down menu for force one and one for force two), loading which ever map one desires to play, then once all is loaded, using the normal force selection and kit to play with. Clearer? Bugkill's immediate fix does work expertly. I was able to accomplish a part of what I was interested in doing. Thanks for both your input and help.

Ah i understand you now :) Thought you meant like a screen before the game loaded, now that would be impossible :)
