I need some advice from you guys.
used to be able to run BF2 fine but now it seems to have gone to hell in a hand basket and i am most annoyed by it as i love the game. I want to be able to play but i don't have the cash to splash £300 on a full upgrade of my system so i need your best advice on this.
First off, this is the spec of my system,
Processor : AMD Duron 2500+
MoBo : PCChips (god knows what model)
Graphics : ATI 9600 (stock)
Memory : 1gb Geil DDR400 (1x stick)
now, my question is, i can probably splash about £100 at the moment on bits and i am not sure whether to get a Athlon XP 3200 processor or something like a 9800 pro or 6600GT.
What, in your opinion is better to go with, more grunt overall or more graphics power. not too fussed about how glorious it looks, i know that i'm not going to get full specs from this rig and i can deal with that, just want to know what will get me out of my laggy, jumping FPS nightmare and allow me to contiue my quest for full ownage on the Battlefield!
Thanks in advance for your comments
