Recently I had installed Special Forces and was getting a runtime error. Naturally I decided to uninstall the Special Forces pack and the original BF2 in order to reinstall both as this usually is the solution to these types of problems. After successfully uninstalling both via the uninstall provided I tried to reinstall BF2 (original from the DVD) only to run into this screen:
I obviously have enough space on the disc in order to insall the game. I tried modifying the destination folder and then tried to install it to my backup drive, all resulting in the same problem. After searching here on this forum I went into the registry and deleted everything from EA and that had Battlefield and Battlefield2 attached to it. Still receiving the same result.
Has anyone had this problem before, and if so are there any recommendations on how I can get it to install?
