Patch over patch?

When these patches come out....are we not meant to install the new patch over the already patched current game?

Is the best method to uninstall the entire game and re load then just install the newest patch?

I assume the newest patch incorporates all the changes from the previous patches right?

I ask this because no matter what I do I cannot get the new patch to work and now my old BF2 is cactus too.

It's meant to be simply patched over whatever version you're currently running.

Unfortunately, files CAN get cluttered and sometimes re-installing completely is a good option.
