    Re: Uninstall

I've been having all the problems I've always had playing the vanilla version, not really more or less. Your better off just uninstalling everything.

        Re: Uninstall

If you plan on playing online you are going to have to keep the 1.12 patch and that's the only part of the xpack that's causing you whatever problems you're experiencing with the expansion. It's the patch that changed some of the vanilla code, not the expansion. So uninstalling will not help you (if you plan to play online). What problems are you having? IM/email me if you want some help. I got BF2 back to "normal" pretty quickly, or just scour the forums, lots of people have been helped and I'm sure tons would be more than happy to help you through it. Good luck

          Re: Uninstall

So I uninstalled and reinstalled everything. including the original game from the CD.

Now I can play Singelplayer Special Forces on HIGH settigns without a hitch. As soon as I hit the Multiplayer button, even the screen that loads the different games seems sticky. And playing is terrible.

Just to confirm - is everyone dowloading SF from EA? Or do they have the disk? I downloaded mine. Maybe that's the issue?

Also, how do you check for your frame rates while playing?

Works for me too, but I agree, its a resource hog and a piece of crap. Several reviews have already confirmed there are major problems with low frame rates, and it needs to be fixed.

Solution = patch (a real working patch that doesn't introduce new bugs)

Is it possible for me to simply uninstall BF2 SF and resort back to the regular BF2?

EA needs to CHECK THEMSELVES before they release something that DOESN"T FRICKING WORK.
