Uninstall

I want to get RID of the SF expansion and go back to playing the normal BF2 WITHOUT PROBLEMS. The frame rates are UNPLAYAB LE even with my video settings on LOW. and I am ****ED OFF.

Is it possible for me to simply uninstall BF2 SF and resort back to the regular BF2?

EA needs to CHECK THEMSELVES before they release something that DOESN"T FRICKING WORK.

Well I know for sure that I'm not the only one with problems. If you read through the Forums, there is a recurring theme that the Expansion is buggy.

works fine for me. plays super smooth. The only problem I have seen happened to me last night and the game kicked me out to the desktop. first time that has happened and hasn't happened since. Other than that I play lag free every night.

Well I know for sure that I'm not the only one with problems. If you read through the Forums, there is a recurring theme that the Expansion is buggy.

I know there are a few issues with the game, but as was said above, name me a PC game that doesn't have issues.

But when I read through the forums, I see a recurring theme of guys who, more than likely, have computer issues that they aren't 1) willing to admit or 2) don't know about.

I'm sorry if this isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but if you just read these forums you'd think BF2 was a complete piece of garbage, but the thousands of players online at any given time attest to this not being the case.

Yep, just installed this last night and am starting to regret it. Didn't happen last night, but today got booted to desktop and had to restart the whole game twice in an hour. I am surprised the keyboard and mouse lived through that beating. I also can't stand the night maps.

Whoop dee doo daa for those of you who aren't having issues. I've been playing BF2 for 6 months LAG free with my Dell Pentium 4 / 1.5 gigs of ram and a Radeon 8500. NOT a cheap machine and can play just about anything.


As soon as I downloaded Special Forces, the frame rate (like I said) were unplayable even on the lowest settings. And I know I"m not the only one who is complaining about it.

Have fun with your lag-free gaming, but don't deny that this is one of THE buggiest games ever made.

Not everyone is experiencing problems. I had it setup where I was getting no lag at all in either game with everything set to what my sig says (no longer at that). For some people they just found that perfect balance by chance, some by skill, and some are probably playing at lower specs then they let on (I'm sure lots of people who say "everything on high" might be playing on an LCD with a top res of 1280x1024 or worse. To me, "everything on high" means resolution set to 1600x1200, and "flawless" or "super smooth" means not a single repeating graphical error like buildings edges not ripping into non-AA blocks when you turn side to side.

Ok, I think I spoke a little too soon. I was really moody when I decided I hated the night maps and I had also just started SF, so I was getting owned like no tomorrow. I hope it just will take some getting used to. I also read that the problem with game crashing to desktop is a prob with running vanilla maps on SF and vice versa, haven't had a prob since avoiding that so we'll see. Just can't wait for more patches. P.S. haven't had any lag probs so far.
