Pfft.. Playing for ribbons is one thing, wasting your time is another. One look at this and I instantly said to myself ' **** NO '.

I have better things to do than to play for a little picture in my stats.

There are actually a few hundred people with the ribbons not just a handful. In reality i would say EVERYONE (or at east 90% of people) with it, cheated to get it (swopped teams to winning side) Its one of only 2 awards i actually dont ever want, because it means loosing credibilty in-game (along with purple heart of course)

If people are so desperate to get an award they will ruin a game for 63 other players then i guess its best they do it, the alternative is probably a high school massacre when they flip in frustration anyway

Haha, man I had no idea what you were on about by saying this until I realised there is an actual player named 'BirdKiller'.

Heh yeah, BK is one of the few people at the GameFAQ boards (actually the only one that I know of) that has the WCR and he's quite proud of it so I knew he wouldn't be able to pass up an opportunity like this to show it off.

the amount of times you play a 20 man server and it ends up being 15 v 5 is beyond count...

either bf2 enforces autobalance on ranked servers properly or they should just remove the stats....

Yeah, I hear you there. I was shocked this weekend to find that a few of the EA offical SF servers are running without autobalance. I didn't really pay attention until I noticed that there were so few blue dots on my map, and I checked the scoreboard to find us at a 22-9 disadvantage. Before the end of the round nearly all the players had switched to USMC to get the win. Suffice it to say I won't play on that server until the autobalance is turned back on. :|:

yup thats exactly what im talking about! there was a point when the map started it was something like 10 v 5 due to ppl disconnecting after the last map and NO ONE would switch and played the entire round as 10 v 5...

me personally i dont care about win/loss stats anymore and i ended up with a higher SPM because of the increased fodder so i wasnt too mad but the point is that it allows for inbalance and a reluctance from others to switch!

in other games where stats dont matter (quake 4 etc) people will stop and switch sides because they try to encourage a good fight! having the win/loss stat is only encouraging unfair play....

It is possible to get this badge without cheating, but it takes carefull planning/playing.

Heh, when I decided to go for this ribbon, I only had 10 hours of commander under my belt. I forced myself to be commander for 40 hours (a lot of stress when you want your team to win) and joined maps that has aircrafts most of the time. This is the ribbon that demanded a large constant effort for it. Plus, the fact that I earned it than using cheap schemes amplifies the specialty of it

The worst experince I had when trying to get this ribbon was when my team lost 6 times in a row, that was in Karkand and Mashtuur City.

All this ribbon does is encourage people to team switch to improve them win/loss ratio.

Who cares who has it?

It should be changed or something to discourage this lame behaviour.
