Not sure if this was discussed before, but I had an Idea while playing as MEC on Iron gator. One thing would completely change the one sided "slaughter" of the MEC. Allow the map to have grappling hooks, it would change the whole face of the map. You could drive up to the side of ship in a boat, and shoot lines up the side and gain access to diff. levels. Just thought makes sense. Since there are only two ways to access the ship, parashoot or the boat bay.

how do u plan on getting out of a boat and not being in water so u cant use ur grappling hook?

It's not a MEC slaughter, if the MEC team captures the flight deck it has two attack helicopters. Also, and I haven't seen anyone do this because the control tower is a maze, but if you can get a squad to land on the control tower and go inside, make their way down, and capture the first floor CP - you'll have a chance at completely wiping out the Seals and taking all the CP's.

You can use your weapons in the secondary seats (not the driver and not the gunner).

Ive played Mec a bit on this map and we managed to hold 3 flags for most of the map, its all about teamwork and defense once you cap.

what u need is a helicopter full of section commander s to get close to the ship
once any of them touch down have the squad spawn on them
then those become section commanders and have others spawn on them
you oonly need one person to getin hiding and have the whole mec team on the deck causing carnage
but it is amazing how people refuse to join squads or leave a squad to make a new commander that is still alive to conntinue to spawn on him

I usually dont mind what map comes on a server I play it even if its not a favourite.
But I wont play gator again. Everytime Mec get both choppers and rape the flight deck and then your stuck lost in the hull with no hope of getting the deck back. You can't hurt the choppers they just hover over the repair zones, by the time your ATs reloaded there at full strength. I know a squad working together might dislodge a chopper but that doesn't happen on publics. I just came 1st place for my team on gator with 21pts. Mec top player had 120+.
Its an awfull depressing map.
