Online Game Freeze

The game freezes at any time in game but only online, i cant type, move the mouse or anything. All i can hear is a repeating sound and i end up having to restart. It was the same with and without the new 1.12 patch and ive got the current driver for my gfx card. I tried updating punkbuster but no luck either:cry:
System spec
AMD Athlon 3500+
1gb DDR ram
256mb Nvidia PX6600
160gb HD

some questions:
does this happen fairly shortly after loading the map and clicking on join. possible before you first spawn?
does it happen on non-punkbuster servers?
do you have a gigabyte k8nf-9 or similar mobo?

if so you have the same problem i do

I too have this gay ass problem. my game will freeze at any time but somedays I can play fine all day.

If a solution isn't found soon im on the first plane to EA and im gonna start assasinating ppl. let this be a warning EA employees!

80gb Maxtor 7200rpm Hdd
512MB PC 3200 DDR Ram

Yeah this is starting to plague me as well. This just started happening after getting SF and the new 1.12 patch. Happens alot in vehicles and when throwing the grappling hook. I have had this happen to me maybe 15-20 times in the past 3 days.
