REDUNDANT - "Special Forces" in Special Forces

Isn't it redundant calling the special forces role in special forces "special forces"? Shouldn't they just simply call that role "Operator?"

well SEALs are Special Operations, only Green Berets are Special Forces so the game is a little twisted in that sense as well

Where do you look this stuff up? I thought the US Army doesn't acknowledge the existence of 'Delta' forces. :/

Well, in Return to Castle Wolfestien they did have a class called "soldier" even though technically everyone was a soldier. However, if you were going to change their name, why not something like "demolitionist"?

Dice probably wanted it to say as true the original as possible, So the just kept the kit.

                        They're just very special forces.

The Army doesn't acknowledge its existence, but we know it exists because of the operations it has participated in (BH Down, there's probably a bunch more). Try a google of "Delta Force."

Yeah. The army does acknowledge them, and has for a while (got bigger during the mogidishu/somalia Operations).

Heck. Pres. Carter acknowledged them too, after the failed hostage rescue during his tenure.
