    BF2 the Looooonnng Way Around

I don't know if anyone is getting this same problem but I get the long and strange way into a server...

    1. I click on BF2 or BF2 SF desktop icon (ok)
    2. I see default “ EA BF2” mini screen (ok)
    3. I see “ Connecting to Account Server” Screen (ok)
    4. I see my login screen with my game name to login with (ok)
    5. I see my main “BF2 Account Screen” with “ Message from EA box” (ok)
    6. I close the “Message from EA box” (ok)
    7. I click on “Multiplayer Link” at the top of my “BF2 Account Screen” (ok)
    8. I see “Main Server List Screen” with “ BF2 and BF2 SF” servers listed (ok)
    9. I pick and click the server I want to go into be it “ BF2 or BF2 SF” ….

Now is where my problem begins…

I will see my desk top with the default “EA BF2” mini screen again then it takes me back to my desktop then it takes me to a full black screen for about 13 seconds then it takes me to my main “BF2 Account Screen” with “Message from EA box” with the background movie frozen in place for about 5 seconds then it takes me to the server I clicked on “loading up screen” I go into the server with no problem and can connect and play.

2nd Problem: useing the steps above and If the server is full there is another problem it takes me back to my main “BF2 Account Screen” with No “ Message from EA box” and I have to click on multiplayer again when it should take me back to the list of servers.

    Solutions I have tried….
    1. Reinstall game and updates twice (no help)
    2. Checked to be sure new patch was installed, I have 1.1.2554-356.0 (no help)

    My Computer:
OS Winxp with SP2 (driver updated)
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.01 GHz (driver updated)
MSI Diamond limited Sli motherboard with Sound Blaster 24 live chip (driver updated)
2 x WD SATA Raptor 36.7 GB @ 10,000 rpm set to raid "0" (driver updated)
2 x BFG NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT Ultra OC 256MB set in SLi mode. (driver 7.7.7.7)
    Corsair Twinx 3200C2 Pro 4 x 512 Dimms = 2048MB w/DDR2 Ram w/LED (driver updated)
    My Keyboard and Mouse:
ZBoard with BF2 limited layout (driver updated)
Logitech MX518 Performance Gamming Optical Mouse (driver updated)

Can anyone help please with a fix?

    |Zs|Voodoo I don't think I've ever seen such a problem posted here before but hope that someone manages to help you. SLI is about the only thing that I can see that has caused other gfx problems in BF2.

    BTW, my steps are

    1. I run BF2 Autoloader
    2. I select a server
    3. 2 minutes later BF2 has run, logged me in, loaded the map and I'm playing.

Just thought I'd mention it in acse you get your problem fixed.

Thanks Ptegan for the input and feedback, can you tell me more about the "Autoloader" and how it works and where I can get it?

Have you tried updating your drivers for audio, video, and motherboard?
