    Crashy Bug

Sometimes while im playing my screen will go black for a few secs (like i alt tabed) this will happen three of four times in the span of 10 min after that it does it again but just crashes, no error report, no nothing.

    Any solutions?

    Me too!
The screen goes completely black, the sound loops then it comes back sometimes. Othertimes it will just freeze. I'm afraid I can't play BF2:SF anymore because it is so frustrating.
I was having my best game ever when it also decided to crash to desktop for no reason.

    So annoying!!!!!!!

        Specs? Why?

Battlefield2 works fine, but Special Forces is just terrible!

Specs, because there is something wrong with your machine, if it was the game, everyone would have it. Therefore posting your system specs is a good start to figuring out why you are having problems.

K in a sec, anyway i had just installed new NVIDIA drivers but before this it was just bad framerate, now its ok framerate but crash bug.

            Anyway,
            SPECS
            Pentium Four
            Cpu 2.66GHz
            512MB Ram
NViDIA Geforce FX 5200 Drivers 81.95

              Re: Crashy Bug

              Okay! Here's my specs...

ASUS A7N8X [onboard sound with nvidia 4.62 driver]
              AMD Athlon XP 2700+
              XFX GeForce 6600GT 128mb [nvidia 81.95 driver]
              1gb CORSAIR RAM
120gb Western Digital HD [73gb free]
              80gb MAXTOR HD [68gb free]

Like I said, Battlefield 2 with latest patch works ok except for a bit of choppiness on certain maps 'which never happened before the patch'.
But certain maps are unplayable on Special Forces, especially the Warlord and Iron Gator map which I've seen a lot of people complain about.

Also, Special Forces only produces this black screen and freezing I mentioned.

Duck you should get another half gig of ram, not sure what settings you are trying to run on, but BF2 takes lots of memory.

StemanCorps- on board sound has also created many problems for people.(other than that your sys seems fine)

I know there are more knowledgable people on this forum about these things and hopefully they will be along shortly to help you.
Remember to check all your video and audio settings, because the SF install changed all my settings to high. I had to redo all settings after loading SF.

                  Thanks BadLizzard...

You might be right about it being sound related, because in Special Forces and when multiple explosions are going off, things do get a bit stuttery, especially when I am around the air-strikes.
