BF:SF is alot of urban warfare. You will die alot in BF:SF, so if you hate looking at the spawn screen its not the game for you. However, the fun factor outways this. I am constantly finding new spots to hide and other spots to advance my squad. You can throw the grapple hook on pretty much anything. That means.. if you want to get on top of a sign, then just throw the grapple hook over it and then you can squat on top of it. I love playing assault now. If their is a wall you and you don't want to walk all the way around it, then just throw the hook over it and make your way over it.
I played medic the other night in BF:SF It was fun for about 10 minutes, then I found myself trying to do a grapple hook over a wall, because I was stuck in the middle of nowhere. Guess what, I couldn't cuz their is NO grapple with the medics. I have no idea why they didn't give the medic and engineer grapple hooks ;/
You WILL want to form a squad or join one. Its SO MUCH FUN! Especially if you got some guys on your squad the are using a Mic. Have one medic, 2 assualt, one Special Forces, and one Anti-tank. Your squad will become almost invinsible. The medics can use other guys grapples and ziplines to its all good.
So, I found myself using the assault class over anyother.
In not so many words, YES BF:SF is worth the extra money. $30 hmmm maybe not, $19.99 would be more like it. However, why part ways with it for just few extra dollars? It will keep you busy for many, many hours. Lets put it this way. I have had the expansion pack since the day it came out, and I have yet to play BF:2 vanilla.
I have not gotten SF Yet, Is it all worth it?
I have played BF2 But there are a few things missing, Like you can't look around the corner.
What is special about BF2 SF?
only 1 or two maps are worth playing, the rest are a clusterf*** of
disorganization and kiddies riding around on their 4 wheelers, wheee wheee..
I took my copy back for a refund after it crashed the first few times.
Now I just play at a buddies house.. and hes ****ed at himself for paying
for it.
It's not totally needed to enjoy BF2. ANd contrary to most belief, the new SF unlocks are just a hype, they're not THAT good. After you get SF, it's not like you're going to be a significantly better player. The new SF unlocks for vanilla BF2 just add more variety to keep the game interesting. DOn't worry, they're not overpowered, it's just people get jealous of other people that have the new unlocks and mentally think that the new weaps are overpowered. Overall, i would reccomend geting it, but if you don't wanna pay 30 bucks, that's fine.

OMG
Thank you.. I been trying to say that for days. Everyone tells me the f2000 is the best gun ever and people kill them all the time with it . Its just a normal assualt gun
bf2 SF is boring i think.
There is only about 200 servers for SF. BF2 has about 600
I think most people bought SF just so they can have the unlocks and flashbangs in bf2
What EA/dice need to do is take out the unlocks in bf2 and the flashbangs
Why did they put them in there anyways?
hmm
because they knew there game is cra@ so adding this in would almost force some people to have to buy bf2 SF?

well living in canada means i had to pay 40 but worth every penny
like 15 new maps many new weapons and vehicles and no jets YAY
new extras like night maps and gas grenades flash bangs zip lines grapple hooks means new tactics new teamplay ie if u lone wolf u die
as for servers damn i do an update and i get like over 3000 stat servers i can pick from
and you get some bonus weapons to use in vanilla bf
definetly ups the fun level of bf2
and i find most people that dont like the game is casue they suck at it and cant figure out why they cant own
To me like someone else said, it should have been $20. So I took the money I drink beer with and bought BF2:SF.
What I like about it:
1. Nice new day maps(even tho they look like the same sh*t from BF2).
2. Nice new toys to play with(weapons, tools etc.).
3. Nice new vehicles(even tho they all drive like sh*t).
What I don't like about it:
1. Bad night maps(p*ss poor level design, nightvision is horrible).
2. Bad bugs that need to resolved(I have found only about 3 so far).
3. Flashbangs. This wasn't needed in a game like this(it's already being abused).
If you got $30 laying around go for it. You might like it more than I do.
I got it for my birthday but I still don't play it since I also ordered a new HDD,X-fi and new keyboard and they still don't get here so i'm waiting for that to install it.
