what the hell is the point of having night missions if you can see perfectly normally with them?

if youre such a devoid of skill player that all you can do is zoom, put your crosshairs over a guy and shoot, then youre probably a sniper anyway, and ive knifed you many times.

I dont have much experience with them in games....
I have extensive experience with them in real life.

It mimicks the NODs pretty decently.

NV is overhyped.
The blinding effect from light sources is a little too much.

I dont like NV either, its disorentating i cant tell the differenc between my men and theres very easily and i can see perfectly well without it, i were Gasmask all the time cause i gas every hall before entering but yes the NV isnt very good, only use if sniper in Devils Perch.

You guys are weird it works fine for me. Real night vision doesnt give you full view Im sure of that...

I have it keyed to a side button on my mouse and it works like a charm. I like night vision.

half the problem is finding the key to turn it on and off quickly.. i gotta remap the key like you did
ill try the side buttons..

Heh... I rather use my gamma settings than that crappy NV, since gamma is broken on my screen even on bright maps.

My lighting settings are on low, maybe thats why Night maps look good to me but not anyone else?

If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse and you can click it, change the NV to the 'click'. Thats what I did, it works great, makes it so much easier. Im not taking the credit on this though, I got this tip from someone else on a different forum.

I know what you mean.

The night vision isn't illuminating the proper things. The ground is completely black in some cases where the enemy models are perfectly lit. With NVG, the ground would be roughly the same illumination as the enemy.

Yeah, the ground could have a little more detail. If you go to the wall on your way from Church to Asylum on Devil's Perch it's totally unclear where you're going.

I think the night vision is pretty good there is no problem with it i find that it works great

ok, Does your mouse have a scrool wheel between the two main buttons? If it does, can you click it? Most mouse's now that have a scrool wheel can be clicked. Assign the NV to switch when you click that wheel. Its so much easier than takin your eyes off the screen to look for the 7.
