Vanilla BF2 medals and SF question

can i still obtain my vanilla bf2 badges while im playing SF. say for instance can i get my VBF2 vet assault badge white 20 kills while playing a SF map

You can get BF2 badges in SF. I got my veteran SF medic badge and veteran BF2 badge at the same time playing on Leviathan.

I'm not sure it works the other way around. I've had more than 6 kills with assault on Karkand but no assault SF badge yet.

i hope you guys are right because if this is the case then getting the aerial service ribbon will be easy on gulf of oman lol

Can only get the SF Awards on the SF maps. But the BF2 Vanilla Awards can be earned on SF or Vanilla Maps.
