G36E vs. MG36

Ok, i'm nearing my next rank (gunnery sergeant), and i need to decide my next unlock. I'm not interested int he DAO, M95 or Jackhammer, so i'm going for the SF unlocks. I'm not interested in the MP7 as i barely play engineer, and i've already unlocked the SCAR-L and the F2000. BUt i play medic and support a lot. So, which one is better? I'm not sure myself, the MG36 seems a bit weak, but more accurate than other support weapons. The G36E is like a M16 on steiroids (not very powerful steroids though), as it still has burst and semi only, but is more accurate and more powerful (32 vs. 30). WHich one should i get ( i already have the PKM and the L85, but i never use the L85).

That's a tough one...I already have both of them but honestly, I'd say the advantage of the G36E over the L85 is more so than the advantage of the MG36 over the PKM or SAW.

No no no get the g36e.
That weapon makes medics almost invincible. It'll beat almost anything long range, still pretty good close range, you can always heal yourself. The 3 bullet burst + good acuracy owns. On Mashtuur, Karkand, the G36e really shines.
Trust me, that weapon is a godsend for medics.

For the Support, I found the PKM still performs better.

Yeah, i agree, the 3 round burst is good, plus it has auto for cqc while the G36e has semi for longer ranges. But i prob agree with thecheat, that the G36E is more of an upgrade. But if the MG36 is better overall, i'll still get it (just like i'd rather get the G36C, which is a solid, yet small upgrade from the reg carbines, instead of a DAo, which is a HUGE upgrade from the SMGs, why, cause the G36c is better than the DAO imo, and i don't play AT much.

Theres no unlock for AT :|:
I wouldnt say the accuracy is too good on it. I played it, found it ok, the 3 round burst didnt do must for me, I actually found it harder to kill that way. Then I took up a PKM and it was a lot more powerful and killed a lot faster

I'm just saying for hte reg BF2 unlocks, i picked the G36C over the DAO as the G36C imo is better overall, and i don't play At much.

Oh yea, the g36c is good, but the G36K in SF is better.

Overall my favorite weapon right now would be in this order
F2000>G36E>PKM>SCAR L

Yeah, the SAS G36K is awesome, does like the same damage as a SCAR, but it's as accurate as the G36C. ANyways, do you have the MG36? Also, do you like the SCAR-H (SF only, but oh well) over the F2000?

No I prefer the F2000. Its more accurate + nade launcher helps for those hard situations.

If your talking about the burst on the G36E then let me answer you. I played Karkand just a little bit ago, strictly as medic to see how this new weapon held up. And really it performed wonderfully. EXCEPT when I got in close quarters with an AK-101 which rapes everything close quarters.

But then again, when you have a burst shot going up against full auto in close quarters the full auto weapon is going to win 9 times out of 10 anyway.

Yeah, that's what i'm talking about, as the M16 sux against the AK in CQC. So do you think it's worth it to get the G36E over the MG36. Also, the poll last i checked is at a 2-2 tie, need more votes.

Both are good weapons.

MG36 - as usual, shoot while prone. This LMG doesn't overheat as quickly as the others.

G36E - very accurate and has low recoil.

Luckily for me, I didn't have to pick one or the other. I had four choices after I loaded in SF. :p
