Blue screen of death

Battlefield was working perfectly, even after the new 1.12 patch. But about 3 days after installing the patch when I try to play bf2 and load a map, about 50 - 99 percent done the game crashes. Ive tried scanning for viruses and spyware, reinstalling, updating PB, everything. It doesn't work. The BF2 demo I have works perfectly tho with no problems. Please, ive gone through hell to try and fix this and any help is greatly apprechiated.

My specs:
AMD 64 Processor
512 RAM
6600 256 MB
SATA Hard Drive

if your crashing to a blue screen, does it say what crashed? is it Kernel.exe? know what it says would help..

If its the kernel search for spyware and viruses, and bad/old drivers (did you install anything else??)

if its not the kernel it could be hardware related, perhaps a hard drive has gone bad or there is a bad area the game is trying to use, run check disk or scan disk i forget which one, just do a search, you want the one that checks for physical errors.

if its not the disk, it could be ram, either the ram on your Mobo or the ram on the card.. I know that Bf2 loads textures into video memory last, or next to last.. this would mean its around 50-90% loading when this starts.

Also, make sure your in 32bit color mode, i tried to change it to 16bit and I got CTD's.
