Idea! Crouching option

Hey! I play lots of 3d shooters, 1 of em is Brothers in Arms Road to hill 30 (great game!). In this game crouching is way better! When you tab the crouch key it will make you crouch and stay crouched. When you press and hold crouch key it will make crouch also but when you release the crouch key you stand up again.

I think this would be great for battlefield 2 (+SF) if you ask me ?!
It's sort of a pain to keep crouch key pushed in while advancing to say like an enemy flag (what i often do). If i could just tap crouch key to stay crouched i could play better while advancing to the flag!
Ofcourse you can also prone but while advancing but it's too slow and if someone aproaches you from an angle you're not looking at your dead..

so what do you think ? Good or Bad idea ?

No, it is perfectly simple for anyone who can control there hands, it has always been like that in all BF's, if you want one that locks uses prone.

Would it really be that useful?

I would be ****ed off something mighty if when I'm trying to type or moving my hands with my lightning fast speed and accidentally hit the crouch button as I was trying to shoot someone.

Plus, you would see everyone just running around crouched all the time.

This way it's sort of a pain to run around crouched because everyones little pinky is weak and EA knows that, hence no perma-crouchers.

I say nay, I like it the way it is.

There is a little program out there called BF2 enhance that gives you this option. I just tested it and confirm that it works in BF2 1.12, and SF.

I liked ur knifing video better. It would have been nice to see some more good killing sprees. The ending was the good part. wait no that sounded like an insult..... I meant blowing up 2 tanks then shooting the choper down at the end was good :) good stuff. one thing I didnt like was seeing you use jets and chopers to fly somewhere and jump out.

Yea, toggable is better IMO. They could have made it like the CoD series where you can have whichever option you prefer
