Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I wouldnt count on any hotfix. DICE canada just isn't as talented as DICE scandanavia. IMHOm DICE needs to sack thier canadian office before they can do more damage to the BF franchise(ie BFV).
FFS people and there lame ass repsonces Try something than spamming a thread like that, They way the responces was like he was a clan member or a member of the site that had a thread on the subject at hand.
More than likely you have the site bookmarked or know it off hand, but Nooooo, wanted to look funny replying back as
i can sympathise with most of you guys on the bad frame rates, ive been getting them really bad..followed all the advice givenon countless threads ,hrer and on other forums ,some worked for a time ,then back to 15fps for most of the map.anyhow,i changed my resolution to the bare minimum(800-600),also ,as well as deleting the cache in the bf2 folder...dont forget to delete the cache in the xpack folder also....so far since the lowering of my resolution(i hated doing that..but it was bite the bullet or shelve the game)the lowest fps (even in night maps) has been around 38-40fps..i can live with that until a proper fix comes out..hope this helps

No I do not have the site bookmarked, and don't remember where it is. I already gave him the search terms to look for, so I would have had to do the exact same thing I told him to do.

I haven't changed a thing and the framerates in SF are just as fine as in BF2 core.
Go figure...
so what's the problem then? a lot of ppl are saying it's the patch but how come CapnKerk isn't having any problems? PC specs? i don't think so. a lot of ppl with uber rigs are still having problems! drivers? try again... ppl have tried all different driver versions and no luck.
what is really causing this huge fps/performance drop?
No, there won't be any optimization. The problem isn't with any bad code, its the maps.
Think about it, what changed from vanilla bf2 to SF? The maps, thats it. Same engine, same game... new maps. The problem is the bf2 engine doesn't do indoor well, the added geometry highly increases the complexity of the maps. This is why the levels take much longer to load as well. Notice how the slowdowns hit hardest on indoor heavy maps, or areas? Notice how bf2 style outdoor levels in the expansion run the best?
The only optimization might be something with the chopper, as there does seem to be a bug involved with this. The pilot of the chopper gets bad stuttering. The gunner, seeing the same thing, however, does not. That, is not an engine issue, but a bug.
That's why you people upgrading drivers and trying to find the 'problem' are searching in vain. The only way to counteract the increased load on your gpu/cpu is by turning your settings down, specifically lighting and shadow related settings.
