Will SF ever be optimized?

Before I could play BF2 with my graphics on med/high and it ran at a decent frame rate.

Now I have my graphics at med/low, it still runs like crap.

Is there any possible way I can optimize my comp or the game for it to run good without buying new hardware (obviosly)

does anyone know if dice is planning to do a optimization patch?

Well try installing new drivers, or reinstall sf then bf2 and make sure you erase EVERYTHING that has to do with that.. then reinstall.

I did this and it works great now.

Look into Tuneup Utilities 2006, make sure your drives are defragged, and look for Black Viper's windows optimization guide. All those should help (albeit minimally).

The whole defragging, drivers upgrading, etc. is a load of ****.

BF2 1.12 runs perfectly while SF is 20fps slower. No defraging is gonna help that.

just wait for a hotfix. a LOOOOOT of ppl are having the same problems as you and not one has able to come up with a definite solution. in the meantime, do something else!

Fallout if you have a nvidia card try using the 77.77 drivers,that what i did and it help run SF alot better then the 81 series

radeon. And I use Omega drivers too :\
