Special forces, i cant play too laggy

I am really sorry if this has already been mentioned but i have tried several attempts to play SF and its too laggy. i play BF with no problems , no lag unless im in a 64 player map.

my pc is AMD athlon 2.9
memory 768 ddr
40 gig hardrive.
Ge force 6200 (new ) got it the same day SF came out.

I already had BF2 and the patches when i installed SF then i patched it again, My husband is also lagging, he PC specs

Intel Pentium 4
memory 768 pc133
40 hardrive
Geforce 5500

I have also spoken to a few of clan mates that have SF and they are suffering the same problems,

I am going into UK servers only. All the settings in the graphics are set to low, or off.

please someone help.

Well, for starters...neither one of your video cards are supported

At least 1 GB of RAM is recommended...1.5+ is preferable.

Other than that, lots of people are having terrible lag issues with SF. Guess we'll have to wait and see if there will be a patch...here's to hopin'!

PimpYo: Leave it to the mods tbh.

Tartan: SF is buggy. Your performance is going to be awful untill they get a patch out. I've seen people with monster PC's whos performance is just as awful. It's also has nothing to do with lag fyi.

1- close any antiviurs or firewall program
2- close any online pragram (yahoo massenger , LimeWire .. )
3- stop download from internet .
4- make sure to use low level in video options .
5- join to server which has good ping .

I was away to say , one of my clan members has the best of the best and he is suffereing, too much people are being struck down with this. Im more annoyed at the fact that my expectations of this expantion was so great but OMG , i hate lag and thought what do i do next.

I am however checking around for solutions, someone said the drivers for the graphics needs updated another said it doesnt work, i have a friendly on this evening so playing with my settings just now is not a good idea.

I dont even know how to check which drivers i have,lol typical woman.
Its sunday and my brain is not working.

As re to the graphics card not being suitable for bf2 or SF, before saturday i had a Geforce 5200 and can i say it worked fine, no problems and so does the other halfs 5500. the best graphics cards are good if u want top of the line performance and graphics but i am quite happy with the 6200 just now , or at least until after christmas.

i hate lag and thought what do i do next.

As I said it isn't lag, I have a funny feeling we have yet ANOTHER memory leak (though it's hard to check perfomance when you can't even alt tab out to check). So in short there is nothing you can do till EA get round to putting their testers to work. Going by past performance we're in for a long month.

I use a program called end it all which , end it all the non required programs.

If anyone can possibly go through grahics setting etc with the Video card with me and go through some checks , that would be great. if u can Pm me your MSN ,

Im just so much at a loss and getting quite annoyed.

Which won't fix a memory leak... Can you see where I'm going with this idea?

edit: point being is we've had 5-6 people change settings, edit *.con files. With little or no improvement.
