Iron Gator and AA Vehicle

Was playing the Gator map this morning as a Helo pilot just hovering around the ship giving the squad support. his AA vehicle on the other team which was right over the other side (you know on the land) he was taking out all our troops plus my helicopter. Now I have 100% draw distance on and even I can't see that far because the game does not render things that far. How is that possible to take out people and helicopters from the other side of the island?

im not sure where but i think an american sniper can set up on the carrier and snipe(with M95) the Hind pilot when he is taking off...it might be visa versa.

wow that's a pretty long shot.....you gotta be one bada$$ sniper to hit a moving target from that far.....

I really think there is a view distance hack. I have mine 100% too but I've been on the carrier in Wake Island and was continually being killed by a chopper.. Couldn't see him anywhere. So I spawned at the airfield and took a chopper over. I found him hovering way out of viewing distance but still firing missles along with the cam missle and killing people.

He can lock on you without being able to see you, and he's probably just arbitrarily shooting at the ship in the direction of the flight deck CP.

Lol i had the same problem on iron gator. I was flying the heli and i went the that little island and got shot once by the AA viehcle so i go back to repair and once im on the carrier i get shot one more time and i blow up. I was like wtf? how?

if the guy in the AA is a sniper he can probably see you with the sniper and then fire a missle approximetaly your way , becouse those things are heatseeking (even without locking on!!!) they will go to you.

it's just what i think. coz my view distance is on 60% i wont be able to check it.

I've tried that, but the heatseeking missiles ignore enemies, and only target friends. It's not a recommended tactic..

I do that with pilots all the time, its no hack.

All I have to do is be pointed at the ship and fire off a TV missile, I can guide it once I get close enough to the ship to hit anything I want.

You don't have to be able to see the ship from the chopper to do that.


I'm still baffled how many people don't know you can guide the TV missile after you fire it.

i never got shot down by AA in the game, yes he was annoying all round that i was trying to fly, but atleast i got to kill him, plus everything else around him, got the ribbon that round

Yes, I think somehow it is possible to increase your view distance far above 100%. Once I was playing at dragon vally and an attack chopper was rapeing the carrier with tv guided missle from the (almost) other side of the map... another day I was playing on Sharqui (MEC) and had to go back with my chopper to repair at the landingzone. The guy took me out from the shore with that AA rocket... when I said it is not even possible to see that far and he is probably cheating, he kick me out as an admin.

Very effective hack for people who know how to use it, other noobs just sit in awwww....

There is. Its called no fog.
The fog/haze is what prevents you from seeing huge distances.
When that is removed.... TADA.
