1.12 patch issue, help needed

I've tried to patch my BF 2 with this new one. The installer starts, but after selecting language it loads for a second and error window pops up. It says "You have too little space on your harddrive to patch BF2(TM), you need at least 3000 MB."

Now, I have a bit less that 4 GB free space in that partition which I use for games. I really don't know what to say anymore. Why in the heck would 280MB patch need 3 GB's free space and why it isn't enough? I have 1,2 GB in my C: drive and I though, could that mean exactly that C: partition. If it does, I have to format half of my HD and rearrange my partitions, not to mention all the work with uninstalling and installing Windows.

If anybody has ideas, please tell me. I would also like to know, where I can give some feedback to the brains behind this game? Which site is the right one?

This isn't for anyone in here, but I just have to say it. If this game, which cost me 45 euros, can't be patched without hours of work and few days ruined because of this, I will stop paying for games which have been influenced any way by either Dice or EA.

There is a workaround for this involving editing the registry temporarily telling Windows that your ProgramFilesDir is on another drive. See this thread: http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showt...t=42233&page=2.

Ok, my bad guys. I think I just wasn't looking hard enough for that thread. Thanks jdrou! Admins can lock or delete this thread for all I care, problem solved.
