The server has refused the connection. HELP!

Ok, the problem is that i can't connect with my account anymore (multiplayer).
After i launch the game and enter my usename and password for connecting to the server it says " The server has refused the connection".
Wtf is going on? why do i get this error? any tips for solving this?
same things happens when i try to retriev another account...

Try and update PB.. have you tried it on another pc?

nope i haven't tried on a diferent PC, yet.

I'm getting "refused connection" too.

I had it working perfectly 2 months ago, and have since moved house and just got reconnected to the same isp. I've installed the latest patch, but I can't owrk out why it's stopped working.

ok i used pbsetup.exe to update Punkbuster and it works now.

The pbsetup tool complains that it cannot download updates. All the correct ports are forwarded from my router. Any ideas?

OK, make sure that you don thave afirewall up when you are trying to update PB, you may want to just disable it untill its finished, then get back to me if that doesnt work.

No joy, it doesn't appear to be a firewall problem. Could the PB site be offline?

Could be, try using pbweb, a different program, does the same thing.

I have a help request pending with PB.
I've manually downloaded the latest htm files, and BF2 still won't login. Perhaps it's something else?
