You all failed to realize, those of you who said that the 512 simply has 256mb more ram, that the card is actually a lot different.

It uses different memory chips and clocks A LOT higher (1.7ghz/1700mhz memory) this kind of speed is not nearly possible on any other card because the memory chips are different.

So your wrong if you think there is just 256mb more memory and thats all there is too it.

]Even so, at the moment it is not worth $200 more, or at least i don tthink so, give it a while and the prices will drop, then you will get far more for your money. :)

no point in getting a 7 series if you arent going to get a 7800GTX.

Yeah HardOCP did a review and they said the same thing, save your cash and get another part that u realy need on your system, I have 2 7800GTX 256 and im not gonna upgrade for another 256mb ram on my cards when there realy wasnt that much of a performance upgrade.
