Both me and my mates Special Forces game optimize the shaders at the begining of each game, anyone know why?

After the shaders optimize for the first time, exit the game altogether.
Unless it's actually taking 10 minutes each time, what you're actually seeing is the optimizing message coming up but it's not actually optimizing..it's a bug and it happens to a lot of us.
I just optimize the shaders after an update or a change in drivers or graphics settings and then quit. Then I defrag. Then I load up BF2 again and no more problems.
