Installing 112 patch

I can't install the latest patch.

It is trying to extract onto my C: drive which has no space.........

My Battlefield install is in D: with plenty of space.

Is there a way of having the install extract to a different folder?

I have cleaned out as much as i can out of the windows folder but still can't find the 3000MB it says i need:cry:


Any suggestions, other that buy a new hard drive

This might help.

Fix for the "3 GB" problem -- kudo's to encBlood for finding this trick and wopper for advertising it on planetbattlefield.

- Click the start button and click "Execute".
- Typ "regedit" (without the quotes)
- Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
- In the right window doubleclick "ProgramFilesDir".
- The value of "ProgramFilesDir" is probably "c:\Program Files". Change this to a drive with at least of 3 GB of free space. For example, I changed it to "D:\Program Files" (I did create a d:\Program Files folder just to be sure).
- Run the patch.
- After you've patched BF2, make sure to change the value of "ProgramFilesDir" back to "c:\Program Files".

That's cool man. I see no need to flame anyone. TBH i searched for you and couldn't find it, which is why i posted for a sticky in there.

If people want to flame they can go and do it on the EA forums.

I like it here, there seems to be a beter community in general.
