SF weapons

Hi people, my first post here.

After watching other people going around with SF weapons in BF2, I have found that you can pick them up. This would mean that the files needed to use the weapons are in normal BF2. Would this mean that a mod could make the weapons available to people without SF?

Probably but you wouldnt be able to play on ranked servers. Most of the SF weapons are not really much better.

Oh well, I was just wondering. I don't plan on buying SF since I don't think EA deserves my money. I'm just looking forward to some good mods now.
