Crashing, crashing, and more crashing

This is getting old. I must be doing somthing wrong. I installed the 1.12 patch for BF2 and whenever I try and go to a SF map it crashes to the desktop. Someone was telling me that there is already a patch for the SF expansion. Is this true? I need somthing, because I cannot even play any SF map. It crashed to the desktop before I can even play. Any help would be appreciated.

install the 1.12 patch soon as you installed SF then join a server and use ziplines

Try installing 1.12 and the restarting afrterward. Then start the program.

Are you starting it up with the SF exe, or your old BF2 one? If you start from BF2 than it will close out BF2 and start up SF a few seconds later.

One thing to watch, is that you don't have any driver options set to add AA or AF - I found that mine would not optimise unless I turned these off; it would get so far then bomb straight to desktop.
