Crashing, Rebooting, then not responding

Ok this is really ****ing me off. After installing BF2:SF I go to try and play in a server but it crashes to the desktop and then it tries to reopen BF2:SF but goes to a black screen where it stops responding. But when I uninstall the expansion pack it works.

What really ****es me off is that it was working earlier today and I have unistalled evreything and reinstalled, I installed the patch, I have done everything and could really use some help.
